Park have been on a magnificant run recently winning 3 league games in a row and playing very attractive football. This was going to be a tough game with both teams doing quite well in recent matches and only 2 places apart in the league.

Park started terribly in the cold wet conditions and conceded very early on to a very good goal from the opposition, with a ball over the top and a very pacey striker Molesey. 1-0 to the Home side and Park were in trouble.

Despite the bad start Park got back into the game very quickly and started battling back especially in Midfield. Capt Jack Usherwood lead by example with some tough tackles and quick passing. Park were unlucky and a mix up in defence cost them as Park went down 2-0. But Park still kept coming at Molesey and were really starting to force Molesey back. A freekick on the left handside and Terry Braker steeped up as usual to deliver a dangerous cross which tricked the goalie and crept into the back of the net. 2-1 and Park were right back in the game. Half Time

2nd half and Park started very brightly again forcing Molesey back into their own half. Park were playing some very attractive football making Molesey chase after the ball. The game began to open up and it became end to end stuff. Park had a few more chances with Ryan Still unlucky with a good run through the defence only to hit it straight at the goalie. Josh Horton came close with another chance. Connor Barnes and Ildi Muka were really throwing in the heavy tackles and dominating the midfield. Park getting closer and closer.....Coaches and supporters all having nervous breakdowns as Park kept the pressure on looking for the equaliser. Finally the break through came as Ryan Still Hit an Equaliser with 10 minutes to go.
Park had brilliantly battled back after a diasterous start. However the winds took a nasty turn as Molesey grew in confidence and put Park under immense pressure. Oliver Greeves really got stuck in with some John Terry style tackles and Harley Smither and Robert Clark holding it down the wings. Ben Varley stand in Goalkeeper made some brilliant saves to keep the Park level. Until the bad luck struck again. In the final minute Molesey won a freekick, floated the ball in and after a big scramble in the box, their striker managed to somehow sneek it in. 3-2 and Park beaten again by a stroke of bad luck in the last minute.

I have to say how proud I am of these boys battling back from 2-0 down and showing the league we're a team to reckon with. I can't fault any of their efforts and have to give the whole team man of the match. We've been playing some outstanding football of late which has been recognised both by coaches and our colleagues in the club and most importantly the rest of our league. With compliments from every team we've played saying how tough we are to play against. A big thank you to the boys for all their effort and hard work.
