U12 Boys tough it out for win | |
| Date 1/12/07 Venue: Home Competition: League Opponents: Tadworth Result W 3 - 1 Scorers: Josh Horton, Terry Braker, AN Other |
Park started slowly but we're the more dominant team all game. Park eventually started playing the attractive football they're capable of and shown in the last 3 wins. Although couldn't really get going due to a well organised and resilent Tadworth team. Park had a few chances but were unable to convert as a little fustration started to show. Until a great ball from Connor Barnes played it out to the wing where Terry Braker whipped in a great LEFT footed cross into the path of joint top goal scorer Josh Horton. 1-0 to Park and game on. Park kept going although Tadworth were still showing a great resilence and weren't letting Park play their football. Finally another great ball in from Capt Jack Usherwood to play in Ryan Still and Ryan fired it across the area with Terry Braker on hand to put the ball into the top corner of the net. 2-0 and Park cruising. Then an amazing 30 yard shot from Ben Varley at the back hit the crossbar with the goalie just getting a hand to it. Park came out after half-time again abit slowly and Tadworth played really well to get back into the game and got the break through for the hardwork with a very unlucky own goal by Park. 2-1 and Park supporters/coaches looked nervous. A couple of great inspiring runs from wingback Robert Clark was driving Park forward from the back with some quick and mazy runs and teaming up well with Ryan Still on the wing. Park were starting to attack just abit more and finally great ball from Robert Clark to Ryan Still who whipped in a great cross to the back post for Terry Braker to put the ball in the back of the net only for a very DODGY linesman to rule it offside. Park's manager/supporters felt the linesman was very biased and unfair all game. I have to congratulate the boys on another win. The team has developed so quickly over the last month/2months. Lets keep going Park. 4 wins out of 4 in League & League cup. Man of Match Robert Clark |
