U11 Girls lose to breakaway goal

Scorers: 		 The Under 11 Girls put in another performance of full of effort and determination but were unlucky to go down to a single goal, a goal much against the run of play, to South Park Juniors.
Park started slightly sluggishly and alowed South Park to settle  but this didn't last long. Park tried to break down both flanks  and created chances for Megan and Ellie but both put shots just the wrong side of the post. Then Park were one down. From a Park attacking corner, South Park cleared and raced to the other end of the pitch leaving Beth with no chance to stop the goal.
Park were stunned but fought back, Amy and Bronte battled hard in midfield and more chances were created but teh goal wouldn't come.
The second half was much the same story, Alex, Emily and Josie tied things up at the back and with Chloe bravely standing in for the injured Beth in goal, Park didn't look like conceding further. Try as they might, Park could not find the equaliser, Michaela was unlucky, coming close on a couple of occasions. Park pressed and a bit more composure in the final third might have bought the reward but the whistle went with the South Park goal intact.
Park may have lost but a great alround effort and if they keep working hard in training and on match days, the results will come.
