Queens Park Under 11 Girls got back to winning ways with a hard fought victory over a much improved Woking Cougars outfit.
Playing downhill in the first half, Park had much the better of the opening exchanges and took the game to Woking. A fine turn and run from Megan nearly produced a goal but Cougars just managed to clear the ball. Another goalmouth scramble followed a corner with Park unable to turn pressure into goals - the story of their seaon so far. With Alex and Beth looking very solid at the back, Park finally broke the deadlock. A long ball from Beth was helped on by Bronte and Ellie pounced to slot the ball past the Cougars keeper.
The second half opened with more midfield battles. Chloe and Amy worked extremely hard, putting in tackle after tackle and Katie was having a fine game in defence. Jordan made a number of fine runs down the wings but Park just couldn't find the final  in the box despite the efforts of Ellie and Megan who threatened every time they got the ball.
As the game wore on Cougars  came into the game more and more, finding space in the Park defence and creating chances . It required three excellent saves from Jemima, two of them point blank stops to keep a clean sheet for Park and win the game.
