Match Report Queens Park U12 Girls v FC Bracknell (Cup) 240906

Park in just their third game of competitive football played at Queens Park on a busy Sunday morning were there were over five other games taking place.

Park started well with Simone and Emily working well down the wings giving Bracknell problems. Danielle, Beth and Charlotte showed how far they have come with a display of close marking and hard work throughout the game, they each in turn stopped Bracknell from getting to the goal and when they did, Sarah in goal did the rest. Harriet gave a captains performance up and down the centre pushing her team forward and keeping them on their toes.

Bracknell scored half way threw the first half with a good strike from well outside the area no one had a chance. Emily thought she had equalised when she drilled the ball into the goal when it fell to her, but it had in fact gone out from the shot that Simone had put in just before.

Honor ran around like a terrier, closing down and playing the ball when she could, Park's main threat came from Emily and Simone with their speed and ability, Bracknell could not deal with them.

This was only the third game the team has played and by far the best so far. All the parents gave the girls a big round of applause as they came off the pitch, well done. ..
