Under strength girls battle against odds ........ and the referee!!
12th November 2006

Park went to Carshalton with just seven players, due to Beth and Daniel having other commitments and Harriet being unwell.

Park started well but it was not long before Carshalton moved the ball well, making it hard for the seven girls. To make matters harder, we had a referee who looked and acted as if he did not even like football, let along girls playing it and a pitch that had no lines, so, when the ball did go out, we stopped and they carried on. At one point he gave a penalty for hand ball, it was and although we complained that it was to protect the face, we got nowhere. Then, they clearly hand balled it down, shot and it went in. The referee just stood there and waited until we put the ball down to take a free kick and then said it was a goal. With this type of adult, how are the girls going to learn!!!!

The second half saw us close down well and restrict them to only a few shots and we even had a good chance after Honor won the ball passed to Emily and Simone had her shot stopped on the line.

All the girls need to get some aggression into their game and carry on the good work they are doing. Lily and Charlotte had good games with Sarah and Caroline sharing the goal keeping duties.

As coach, I am very proud of all the girls, as we are, without doubt, the fairest team in the league, with the best attitude. All we need to do know is get mad and we will get a win!!
