Weekend to forget for Tigers
15th October 2006
Second cup game this weekend and very much the same story as the other game. Park started well and were the better side for most of the first half making some good chances, the best coming from a Matthew Wise long shot off the post, but Park never made the keeper work.
Park xhanged the team around with George Simson in goal and doing a great job, Thomas Skilton and Harry Milton making a good defensive partnership, Andrew Auletta moving to the centre along with Ian Williams, leaving Sonny Newbury, Matthew Wise, Matthew Hewitt, Joel Sandford and Jo Bond to try to get the goals, it worked well until Epsom got a free kick and hit the ball over George into the goal.
The second half saw Park huff and puff with no end result. They went to
the long ball and standing watching. Two things they have been told not
to do, in the end it was the Manager that, with less than ten to go, made
a change to try to get a goal, that let Epsom in to score their second.
In the end a good first half but we must learn to keep it going all the
way through and the play the easy ball first.
