Park went out knowing they need to play well again to get anything from this game. We started well but had the same old problem of panicing when we need to clear. Asa result we do not get any power or direction into the clearance. Along with a lack of passing power we gave A F C Epsom a licence to control the game and then gave them the first goal. This was closely followed by another. The hope was, that with the hill in the second half, we could get this back. The boys went out ready to go and it was not long before Thomas had a chance saved. We were doing well, all the team working for each other. Then a ball through to Joel and we were back in this one, a trade mark low shot into the corner.
Park were on top and then it happed again! We thought we did not need to pass and wasted several good chances to get level, again we did not pass, but went it alone.
Then A F C Epsom scored their third, you could see it coming. To the boys
credit, they did not give up. George scored our second and it was game
on again. But after an injury to Andrew and a knock to Joe, we just fell
away.
Think about it, after we seem to have lost the simple pass and move and
we seem to be unaware of others, with a string of small errors. Maybe this
is to hard on Park and maybe it was the good play from A F C Epsom who
have not lost yet, I am not sure but we will be back.
