Opponents: Warren Mead

Venue: Away

Competition: League

Result: Drew 1-1

Scorers: Hewitt
A spirited draw
4th November 2006

The parents of both teams were given a treat on this cold morning, both teams know each other well and in the early exchanges this showed, with some close marking and good defending. Park started to grow during the game and were moving the ball well. Joel Standford, Matt Hewitt and George Simsion moved forward with ease and should have scored.

Matthew Wise, in goal and Harry Milton at the back kept a clean sheet. The second half saw Sonny Newbury, Joe Bond and Ian Williams carry on the good work and with Thomas Skilton taking over from Harry at the back we still looked solid. The breakthrough came when Andrew Auletta played a ball through to Matthew Hewitt who had pulled away at the back and coolly put it away.

Joe Bond having one of his best games came close as did George and Matthew but we could not make the game safe. With less than two minutes to go, one error at the back saw Warren Mead get past the defence and Matthew Wise, to get an equalizer.

This was a hard fought game played in the right way from both the players and the spectators
